Q:

Can I use a child's car seat for my infant on board the flight?

Yes, child car seats can be used for infants between the ages of six months and three years. Infants using a car seat must pay the appropriate children's fare. Bookings for infants in car seats cannot currently be booked online and must be made via the call centre.

The car seat must:

  • Be forward facing
  • Have a well-defined shell and where there is an under structure this must be securely attached
  • Not show any signs of damage
  • Not exceed the dimensions of the aircraft seat
  • Have a single release harness which secures the child's lap, torso, and shoulders.

Rear facing car seats will not be accepted.
